The Eternal Style of Audrey Hepburn

I believe in great style......not great trends. Fashion is constantly evolving and not everyone can keep up. If you are one of those people....then this fashion board might be for you. Black is always in fashion. You can never be overdressed or under-dressed in black. Its chic. Its timeless. Its always in style.Link

The basics should always be: black pencil skirt (as seen in the post below) classic trench coat, a great pair of jeans (I would do one pair of skinny jeans and one with a flare) a classic white shirt and always....a black top (a boatneck is always in style)

This style board is of course fashioned after Audrey Hepburn. Black capri's, black ballet flats and the perfect black boatneck. Always in style.....always chic. You can accessorize to your liking if you want to add a punch of flare. A coloured handbag (red, cobalt blue, burnt orange). Instead of pearls, you can wear hoops. Accessories are individual and can be very inexpensive, so by purchasing them in multiples, you aren't really spending a lot of money. Scarves, statement rings, clutches.....you can pay as much or as little as you would like for these items. Great stores for accessories are The Loft, JCrew, and even H&M.

Adding accessories to a classic outfit is truly making the outfit your own. Its very personal and very individual. Have fun and experiment with accessories. Especially as we go into fall and winter - scarves are wonderful. My favorite pashmina's are the one's I have purchased at the airport for $10.....I have several and they last forever.

Have fun with your accessories.....and if you would like more ideas on accessories, take a look at my 'fabulous accessories' board on Pinterest. Let me know what you think! And you can always follow my musings and inspirations on Twitter.

Polyvore.....

I'm not sure I needed another online addiction. First, there is my fashion blog on Tumblr. Here, I feature, fashion editorials, street style inspiration.....and other such musings. Then, I started a Pinterest account. Here, I have boards on Paris, Home Decor, Travels, Street Style Fashions.....and much more. And of course, these musings need to be publicized....and that is what Twitter is for. Above is my latest fashion set from Polyvore. I need to spend more time on Polyvore, however, it is a wonderful space to create your own individual looks and styles. After all, isn't that what fashion is? One's own expression and creation. I'm all about minimalism.....think Jackie O and Audrey meet Angelina Jolie and Victoria Beckham. Sounds like a broad spectrum of women, however, they all have this in common: chic, minimal elegance - pencil skirts, LBD's, white tops, ballet flats.....and every once in awhile, a punch of colour. Let me know what looks and styles speak to you. Remember, if it doesn't speak to you.....and you have to question a look, then its not the look for you. Be creative. Have fun. Fashion is fun - think timeless pieces.....and every once in awhile, add a pop of flare.
